Wait a minute!

After I posted my very 1st blog with the cutest picture of Landon learning to sit up with his Boppy, Landon decided he was going to sit without any help! No Boppy needed! Yep, my baby boy sits up all by himself now. And for a long time, too! I was able to find my phone, take 2 different videos of him sitting and he was STILL going strong.

Needless to say, I was a very proud Mommy!

Tomorrow is going to be so much fun! I have engagement pictures to do in College Station at 8:30 in the morning. And then at 4:00, we have Mr.Bryson's 1st birthday party. He is the son of my best friend, Courtney...the one who MADE me start this blog. ;) I took his birthday pictures 2 weekends ago and they turned out great. He is such a cute little boy with amazing blue eyes. And he's fast! I really enjoyed being able to capture such a precious milestone for The Ruple Family. I will be posting those pictures and the ones from his party on Sunday. So stay tuned!

Better late than never, right?

OK, so I'm two weeks away from Landon turning 6 months and FINALLY taking the time to start my blog. Between Landon, cleaning and editing pictures, this has always been the last thing on my "to-do" list. And I obviously never got to the bottom of that list...

But to make my best friend happy and not grill me again at her son's 1st birthday party this weekend, about not starting my blog yet again, I have decided now is the perfect time.

A little bit about myself and my wonderful family: Derek and I have been married for going on 4 years in November. And recently just "celebrated" our 7 years of being together on July 3rd. On January 18th, we were blessed with the most beautiful baby boy, Landon. And he has been the light of our lives ever since! We are just amazed at what a perfect little person we created together. Watching him grow and learn to do new things, it's really been so incredible for us. Sad that he is not a teeny tiny baby anymore, but very excited for what a future with him holds for us.

I am also a self taught photographer. It started with my beautiful niece. I saw some clothes that she had at my mother inlaws and thought they would be cute for some "country" themed pictures. We played around with my little Sony digital camera and had a blast! When we showed everyone her pictures, I got so many compliments on how good they turned out. I had so much fun that I ended up taking more and more pictures, bought a new fancy camera and even got a job a at a studio for more experience. Photography to me is like a kid on Christmas morning. I get THAT excited to take pictures. I love searching the internet and finding ideas. And coming up with my own. I find myself laying in bed, needing to go to sleep, and just thinking of all of these cute ideas! Other than being a mother and wife, there is nothing more I love doing than taking pictures. :)

I don't have many pictures to post right now. Only because I recently dropped my external hard drive and it broke. Talk about making yourself sick! So until we have the whopping $250 to have everything recovered from it, recent pictures is all that I have.
